Once a month, the Commons and hallways are filled with rich notes emanating from the grand piano. Residents gather to socialize with friends and enjoy a mid-afternoon cup of tea and crumpets during the Camelot Tea. Resident pianist Mary Raines loves to play beautiful melodies and resident organist Anne Overholt is another regularly featured talent at the tea and the Sunday Vespers services.

The University Village Activities Committee coordinates this monthly event. Kay Bates, the Activities Committee Chair, has breathed new life into many of the monthly features.

For the first time, the August Camelot Tea will have a special theme honoring all of the residents who are 90 years young and beyond. The Pastry Chef is creating a magnificent birthday cake for the celebration, and what could be more fitting than to honor these residents with 93 year old Mary Raines as her fingers glide across the keyboard creating the ambiance everyone so enjoys!
