University Village provides peace of mind for their residence with their top-of-the line senior care service, including a daily resident security and safety system. Residents are asked to notify the front desk when they awaken as part of the Daily Assurance Check. Each home has a minimum of three pull cords should a resident require immediate assistance. The onsite senior Wellness center provides swift response to emergencies with professional medical personnel on site 24 hours a day including weekends.

Jane Siedlarz, RN, Wellness Clinic Director of Nursing, has been the daytime nurse at the senior center for over 9 years. Beyond first response care, she and her team are always available to answer questions and administer first aid and blood pressure checks. For residents’ convenience, a podiatrist and an Internal Medicine physician schedule patient appointments at the Wellness Clinic. Jane and her staff provide ongoing education to residents individually as well as providing health and wellness seminars throughout the year and a popular annual health fair.

Residents know and trust Jane and Marcia Fulford, the onsite Director of Social Services. They are the resident’s advocates when contact needs to be made to a physician, pharmacy or family. Their senior care service includes monitoring follow up needs and concerns plus pre- and post-hospitalization assessment, assistance and planning.
